BharatGen, a suite of Generative AI tech for India’ is a pioneering
initiative, anchored by the TIH IIT Bombay supported under the
National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS)
by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of
India. The initiative brings together a consortium of leading academic
institutions, with the objective of advancing generative AI
technologies and an active AI ecosystem in the country specifically
designed for the diverse and unique requirements of India.

Eligibility Criteria

Students can be of any discipline of engineering/science of
undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), or doctoral (PhD) course to
be eligible for the hackathon.

(engineering/science) year program.

Students admitted to UG, PG, and PhD. programs at IITs, NITs, and
other AICTE/UGC-approved institutions.
Post Idea submission process, the ideas will be evaluated by experts.
Evaluation criteria will include Functionality & Technical
Implementation, Feasibility & Practicality, User Experience & Design,
Impact & Relevance and Innovation & Creativity.
Mode of Grand Finale
Generative AI Hackathon 2025 Grand Finale will be held offline in New
Delhi and teams must travelled to New Delhi. The tentative date for
the hackathon is 2nd/3rd week of June 2025.
